I'm already lost...what day is this?

Okay, I'm going to stop posting "Day...", because do I go by days I post, or days of the challenge, or what?

Here's my update so far. I lost 0.8 lbs from my starting weight, which is great! And no, I'm not going to report my weight on here...not just yet, anyway! While 0.8 lbs isn't a lot, I was excited to see that number because I wasn't really trying very hard and still lost. That is a miracle, I'm telling you. I used my last weigh in weight from WW for my official starting weight. Then I didn't go to WW for 2 weeks because of the holidays and people coming over, etc. This past Saturday, I did go and this was my result, so I'll take it!

Yesterday, I ate pretty well. I did snack on a few peanut M&Ms that the husband brought into the house (why does he want to torture me???), but mostly stuck to what I had planned to eat. I also did 10 minutes (I know, 10 WHOLE minutes!) on the elliptical yesterday, which was a good start, I think!

So far, so good for today. A delightful Stuffed Breakfast Sandwich (WW) for breakfast, some raw almonds for a snack, and a Healthy Choice panini for lunch, along with about 24 ounces of water so far. I premade our dinner for tonight -- Crockpot Pizza, recipe courtesy of Erin -- and I'll be having some of it after my Zumba class tonight! I'm trying!

Day 3

Grocery shopping was successful yesterday during my break from work, so I'm ready to actually have healthier eating options! Today, I brought a delicious Fresh Expressions bagged salad for lunch. It's the Salsa Salad, and it comes with a little bit of shredded cheese, some tortilla strips, salsa, and a sour cream/salsa dressing. I highly recommend this salad, especially if you're short on time and want a healthier option! I have been known to eat the whole thing for a meal, but usually I can split it into two meals (or split it with a friend). I think half of the salad is somewhere around 6-7 points, so not too bad for lunch! I also have some sugar free Jello that I brought in for my delightful "dessert" today, and am currently drinking a big thing of water!

My other goal for today (other than trying to just eat my healthy food!) is to do SOME sort of activity tonight. I could do either some Zumba at home with my DVDs or get on my elliptical. Honestly, I'm going to shoot for the elliptical because then I can still watch TV! Oh, the important things!

Day 2

Well, I did an hour of Zumba last night. It totally kicked my butt! We had some new routines that Shannon threw in for Christmas, and, for some reason, I was feeling pretty uncoordinated! I don't think it helped that all the new stuff was at the end and I was getting pretty tired! My eating has been semi-random, because I have no real food in my house. Let me rephrase that. I have food, I just don't really have "meal" food. I bought groceries the weekend before Thanksgiving for that week and for Thanksgiving...and then it snowed and I didn't grocery shop last weekend! I'm going to try to go out at my break today, though, and get some things.

Day 1

I'm starting yet another blog (how many have I started so far??) because I am starting the Dreaming of a Light Christmas challenge from Sisterhood of the Shrinking Pants. Oops, it's Sisterhood of the Shrinking Jeans, actually. Hey, I don't discriminate -- I need to shrink all types of pants!

Anyway, I just have to do something because I feel like I'm semi out of control! And I like that this is a shorter challenge. It's not quite so overwhelming that way.

I also do Weight Watchers, although I have to admit, I haven't really DONE Weight Watchers very well in a long time! I was doing a good job for a while and had lost more weight than I ever had before on WW last year, but I have just totally put it back on. Blech.

I am happy to report that I am more active than before doing Zumba at least once each week. It's great to finally have an activity that I enjoy and that I have stuck with! My own goal for myself is to step it up and do more, though, because 1-2 hours per week of exercise just ain't cuttin' it!

So here I am, starting this challenge. I'm going to try to take it a day at a time and not look too far ahead. We'll see what happens!
